By accessing or using ask3gpp.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users including guest accounts, registered users, and API consumers.
2. Description of Service
ask3gpp.com is an AI-assisted 3GPP specification retrieval tool that provides answers to technical questions about 3GPP standards. The Service uses BM25 keyword search, an Open Knowledge Format (OKF), and a large language model (LLM) to generate grounded responses with citations to 3GPP specification documents.
The Service is provided for informational and decision-support purposes only. It is not a substitute for reading the official 3GPP specifications published at www.3gpp.org.
3. User Accounts
- Guest accounts are limited to 5 queries per day.
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must not share your account or API key with third parties.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service in bulk.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying knowledge base or OKF data.
- Submit queries designed to circumvent rate limits or quotas.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its OKF (Open Knowledge Format) knowledge base, software, design, and content (excluding 3GPP specification text), is the intellectual property of ask3gpp.com and its owner. All rights are reserved.
3GPP specification text referenced in answers is the property of the respective 3GPP organizational partners and is subject to 3GPP's intellectual property rights policy available at www.3gpp.org/about-3gpp/intellectual-property-rights.
3GPP® is a registered trademark of ETSI. ask3gpp.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to 3GPP or ETSI.
6. Accuracy and Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service uses AI and automated retrieval to generate answers. While we strive for accuracy and ground every answer in cited specification text, we make no warranty that:
- Answers are complete, accurate, or up to date.
- Citations reference the correct release or version of a specification.
- The Service covers all relevant 3GPP specifications (current coverage: 38-series, Rel-15 to Rel-18).
- The Service will be available without interruption or error.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ask3gpp.com and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:
- Decisions made based on answers provided by the Service.
- Errors or omissions in cited specification content.
- Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity.
- Service downtime or interruptions.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
8. Privacy
By using the Service you agree that:
- Your email address is collected for account authentication and service communications only.
- Your queries may be logged for service improvement, abuse prevention, and quota enforcement.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Query logs may be retained for up to 90 days.

9. API Usage
If you access the Service via API key:
- Your API key is personal and must not be shared or published.
- Rate limits and quotas apply as communicated at account creation.
- We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are misused or shared.
- API access may be modified or discontinued with reasonable notice.
10. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the integrity of the Service.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.
